The Speed Date

Speed Dating is simple: an equal number of women and men meet at a certain time and place to hopefully find a partner, make new friends, or even create new business contacts. Participants are paired up and have five minutes to get to know each other. When the five minutes are up, the men move one table down to talk with the next woman. This continues until everyone has met everyone else. That way every man has five minutes to speak with every woman at the event, and every woman has five minutes to speak to every man. At the conclusion of the speed date each participant confidentially submits a list of the people he or she would like to contact after the event. You are notified of the contact information of your matches by email within 24 hours (matches happen when you picked a person who also picked you).
